Japanese based, dry-witted, multi-instrumentalist, Max Essa, docks his yacht to the good ship Bearfunk once more. This time it's the title track from his soon-come LP "White Shoes Blue Dreams". The original morphs things on from his pundit-pleasing beach and summer grooves onto an 80's tilt. The original mix is full of slick grooves and melodic musicality. Max's own "Marbella" mix discos things up with a catchy keyboard riff that makes one think of a certain Van McCoy; floor-filling stuff. Fellow Bearfunk sailor, Roberto Auser, is up for remix duties. His angular Dutch grooves strip things back and make things refreshing and cool like he does with just about everything he touches. Stay tuned for the second Max Essa album on Bearfunk in the Autumn.

A beautiful, slightly forlorn track. All three mixes are lovely. - Bruce Tatum -Time Out NYC

80's-tastic! Warm, laid back and smooth. Brilliant retro stylings, the original mix is timeless, Roberto creates a fantastic journey with his version and Marbella is just palm trees, champagne cocktails and summer love! - Grant Paterson

The Marbella remix totally does it for me...lovely. - Sven Fortmann - Lodown
