Italian producer Arturo Capone is a busy man, juggling art direction, remixing and production work with his longstanding career as one of Italy's premier underground dj's, known for putting together the best mutant disco ,deep house, Detroit techno and straight up funk. As a producer he has developed his own unique sound and versatile style, catching the attention of Stevie Kotey, and becoming in part of the Bearfunk crew in 2005. Here we get his 2nd release for Bearfunk, a sampler from his forthcoming debut album, Miocuore. Opener Curcuma is a deep and shuffly hypno- disco number, minimal and funky and custom built for late night action. 'Wondering' strides along with techier purpose before opening out into dreamy effected guitars and sparkly pads . The package is completed with a classy remix from Bearfunks' own Max Essa, who takes album track "Waves" and turns it into a superb balearic groover that drifts along with pianos and gated riffs washing over a fat bassline and crisp drums for full summery effect .A great taster from what promises to be a impressive debut album. Support comes from Danielle Baldelli, The one I prefer is Waves (Max Essa remix) Danny Krivit From what I heard, I like it Tom Findlay (Groove Armada) Great chugging disco. loving this, particulary 'wondering' and the brilliant Max Essa rmx. bliss Richard Sen (Padded Cell), I like the Max Essa remix of the Arturo Capone track - Very classy and perfect for those forthcoming swimming pool moments. Cosmo Vitelli Like it, will play Curcuma Tensnake, Really, really lovin' the Max Essa remix! Pete Herbert (Reverso 68, LSB), Loving it – Played the Max Essa remix and it went down a storm! Drrtyhaze, The Max Essa remix is cool.
